I see tons of recipes calling for either sugar or recipe in their pizza dough. What would be the benefit of using honey over sugar?

Sugar is used for pure sweetness and to give the yeast a treat. Honey tastes like - honey. I use honey when I make whole wheat bread.

I would try them bothand see what you like best. Smile

I use them both, depending on what dough recipe. I like a honey wheat myself and also in a dark beer dough. YUM!
