Albert,

May I call you Al?
I appreciate your taking the high road in your response to the pizza purist attack on your website.
I BET THAT RIGHT NOW THEY ARE TRYING YOUR DOUGH RECIPE!
(As a matter of fact i think I might try it this afternoon.)
I guess for most of us that we may not know what 'GOOD FOOD' might be, but I defintely know what tastes good to me, and what feeds my soul, and brings a little joy to the short life God has given me to live here on the 3rd Rock from the Sun!
I don't think I have ever had "Super Bad' Pizza, (though the stuff they passed off as pizza in my elementary school cafeteria was probably the worst I have ever had. I guess I had taste even back then.)
As one of your contributors correctly said' there is only good pizza and then there is great pizza.
Pizza is as necessary to me as air, water, playing guitar, raising my 6 year old son, and *** with my wife(oops, can I say that?)
It may have started as a 'peasant' food, but I would like to call it a very....

PLEASANT FOOD

Love the site!

Adam

You are a gentleman and a scholar sir. Your reply was kind and eloquent. Me? I would just have gotten MAD. As far as the purists go, everyone has his/her own taste I suppose. I'd rather have an Italian recipe from a genuine "from the old country" Italian than anything so-called "fancy-schmancy" high gloss restaurant. The few "international" recipes I do have come from real people who really buy real salt, real flour and real other ingredients from real grocery stores where real people shop. And this website is fun and unpretentious - in other words, you keep it real for all of us real folks!
